Out of its success evolved VerticalNet, the leading B2B publisher and ecommerce company founded during the first Internet boom. In 1998, VerticalNet went public and began trading on the NASDAQ exchange. The company experienced a furious expansion fueled by Dot Com Bubble. Since 2002, the business has experienced steady, double-digit growth and now operates in four cities with over 100 employees. In 2007, ISIT.com (an IT-focused network of B2B websites) was acquired by VertMarkets. In 2009, Jameson Publishing was acquired by VertMarkets and immediately spun out as a stand-alone subsidiary, managing all IT related websites and magazines.
